Cold performance 700 85

I have a similar problen to the one discussed by a previous owner on the board. My '85 740 GLE (177K)B230F engine, stalls when the engine is cold. As soon as it warms up it runs great. Over the past year I have installed new wiring harness, timing belt, air & fuel filter, ignition cables, spark plugs, distributor rotor and cap, and cleaned/adjusted the throttle body. It still stalls and backfires when the engine is cold (regardless of the environment temperature). Any suggestions?
