1) recruit volunteer(s) who is(are) going to catch window as it leaves
the car.
2)remove as many of the outside mouldings in the glass rubber as will
come out without breaking your fingers
3)lay down in cargo area (butt on the floor, back against side opposite
of window to be removed or if you are not tall; back on floor too)
4)put one foot in each upper corner of window (use strong boots)
(as far in the corner as you can get)
5)PUSH (like wife having baby!)
6) volunteer will catch window
done
to install :
clean and rebuild metal lip (may be rusty) in quarter panel
clean rubber to remove all window taffy (black stringy goop)
(i think someone has recommended WD40 for this job)
lay a rope ( 1/4 inch diameter) in outside valley of rubber seal all
the way around with some extra rope dangleing at overlap.
(may need to spray window rubber with Silicone spray or soapy water)
set window in bottom frame and feed excess rope to the inside.
go inside car and have volunteer hold window against frame.
"unpeel" the seal by working the rope out of the seal while the inside
lip of the seal works it's way around the inside of the sheetmetal
hope this works
