R-Sport Gauge Cluster Question 200 1978

Hey, all:

I just got my hands on an R-Sport gauge cluster which I'm going to be installing in my '78 262C Bertone this weekend. I have a slight dilema which I was hoping someone who is R-Sport savie can help me with. I'm running a '93 Mustang 5.0 liter V-8 in my car, so the tach is obviously not going to be accurate. In examining the tach, I notice there are 3 blade terminals on it at the top of the gauge. From the back, there are 2 on the left, a space, and then one on the right. They're in a plastic divider piece. It looks like this:

| -- | -- | | -- |

Currently, there is a green wire on the left most spade, and a red wire on the right most spade. Does anyone know if the other spade is calibrated for a different number of cylinders? I'm guessing if it is, it would be for the 6 cylinder, but it is a VDO gauge, so you never know. If anyone could shed some light on this mystery, I would be most appreciative.

Also, if anyone has a copy of the original R-Sport catalog, I would be interested in viewing it.

Thanks in advance.
