Re: Resolving Low 02 Voltage 200 1984

Tony, Jean...

Went out to check on my fully warm engine what if any effect false air leaks had on the 02 sensor. Checked the signal beforehand to confirm fluctuation within .1v-.9v range....ok.

Disconnecting one, then BOTH lines going to charcoal canister on throttle body had little if any effect, signal was still within range indicating that either compensations were being made or that leakage was insignificant.

Disconnecting small vacuum line from flame trap at intake dropped the signal to .05v-.1v with some movement.

Disconnecting the large idle valve hose at throttle bellows effectively killed the engine.

If after ruling out leaks, see if adjusting the AMM would pick up signal into the proper range.
