Re: HELP! Put in new O@ sensor but can't make dash light reset (more) 200 81

Dear Linnea,

To reset the lambda light, remove the black felt covered cardboard panel just above the drivers feet. Sitting in the drivers seat, with your left hand, reach up under the dash just to the left of the steering wheel column. The reset box is usually clamped to the large metal dash support that runs along the bottom of the dash closest to the driver. You should be able to feel it clamped in there as well as the black cable drive from the speedo and the red output wires. It is not uncommon for the reset box to just be hanging from the dash by the wires as it not real easy to reattach to the dash. Once you have located the reset box, there is a small plastic cover held on with a small Phillips head screw. Remove the screw and you should see a brass button, press the button and the lamp should extinguish. Re-install the box and you should be good for another 30K.

Let me know if you need more instructions.

Good Luck,

Scott Hart c/o ipd
