Windshield Wiper Knock 200 1993

Windshield wipers have intermittent knock. At times they become quiet spontainiously and then just as you think they have healed themselves they begin the knock again. If I go in to attempt repair should I bring lubricants or parts? It may stop raining here by Memorial Day but I would just as soon fix this annoying noise.
