After leaving the stop light at an expressway offramp (short trip 30 miles) I noticed a sound like a small trickling waterfall appear to come from the passengerside footwell. Inspection showed no wetness to the carpet or the exterior of the plenum. Pulled over and noticed that water must have been really pouring out of the car (drip trial into the parking lot). Suspect that condensate line must have been plugged. No other leaks or signs of wetness and it certainly wasn't coolant. AC still cools as well as ever. Which is to say that it cools well while the car is moving (2000rpm) and not so well at idle and around town during slow crawl season. It was a very hot Nashville day.
Questions:
1) Am I on target with the pouring water sound?
2) What could cause the AC to perform so well at speed and not so well at idle?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
