Bad Front Electric Cooling Fan- What should I do? 700 1989

My 1989 780 has a bad electic fan(the one that goes in front of the radiator). A new Volvo dealer one is about $200. Should I go the junk yard, find an aftermarket one or convert to a more efficient one if it exists. Thanks.
