well, finally got the starter out and bought the new one, took my jumper cables to the old solenoid and it's working, the new one is doing the same, now i am confused! i've always thought that ticking when turning the key meant the solenoid was trashed, i am not sure if i should put the old starter back in again, any ideas out there?
