I let people use my tools all the,even built a few transmisions,repaired ACs,replaced water pumps etc for poor guys who broke down on trips,had no money with kids on vaction etc you know the stories.

Anyway check your firing order should be 1342 distrib rotates Clockwise.

Also if you had wire rot on the alt chances are you could have same problem elsewhere because Volvo had alot of wire problems with 240s wiring.
