how does exterior trim attach? 200 85

I'm planning to replace the missing trim piece on my rocker panel, just below the doors. The missing piece left behind a lot of brackets, some of which were sheared off to stubs. I can't immediately figure out to remove/replace these things. Anybody out there fool with these before?

Also, the chrome beneath the rear passenger side window is gone. This attachment looks a little simpler, but has anybody done this one?
