My '88 245 with 250K refuses to start. It recently failed to re-start when warm a couple of times, and then wouldn't start at all. I found no power at the fuse for the in-tank fuel pump, and per some Brickboard advice I jumpered between the main pump fuse (#6) and #4 - voila! It started. Based on that success, I replaced the fuel pump relay, but NOW it still won't start without the fuse 4-6 jumper. Once running, if I remove the jumper, the engine dies. Both old and new relays buzz nearly identically as the engine is cranked, so perhaps the relay is not the main culprit. What else do I need to check?
