back-up lights not working 200 86

my 245 wagon just failed insection of having no back-up lights working.

the bulbs are good, i opened up the switch under the shift lever cover and it works fine. when it is in the reverse position i get no power thru the witch or to the rear bulb contacts) where could the touble be? thanks, larry
