car runs irraticly under 2000rpm but fine after 200 83

I OWN A 83 244GLT FOR 4 YEARS NOW WITH VERY SMALL PROBLEMS. ONE DAY THE U-JOINTS WENT OUT SO I REPLACED THEM THE NEXT DAY THE CAR STARTS RUNNING IRRATICLY UNDER 2000RPM AND AT A TAKE OFF THE WHOLE ENGINE VIBRATES.YOU CAN SET IN PARK AND ACCELERATE TO 1500RPM AND THE CARDROPS 200RPM ABOUT EVERY 7-8 SECONDS BUT ACCELERATE TO 200RPM AND IT SMOTHES OUT. PLEASE HELP I WANT TO KEEP MY 244 TURBO.
