Oil temp sensor, where is it????? 200 1983

Where did volvo put the oil temp sensor on the 240's. Haynes don't even mention it. I pulled an oil temp guage from a scrap 240 in the salvage yard and can not find where the sensor mounts on the block. The guage is genuine volvo and not an aftermaket unit. The dealer wants $57 for the sensor so I want to go back to the same salvage car and pull it. I have heard it was part of the drain plug, is that right?
