brake fluid leak between booster and master

Hi

I just put a new master cylinder and a used brake booster on my 1980 242. It is leaking a little bit between the booster and the master cylinder. I'm wondering if the brake booster might have caused some damage to the master cylinder. I think I've read that there are some tolerances the must be checked when putting a brakebooster on. Anyone have any ideas? Have I ruined the new mater cylinder. I'm going take it off tonight a take a look.
