Stalling problem with a 760 Turbo 700 1990

I seem to have a strange stalling problem with my car. When starting, it fires up and drive okay, but when I accelerate, the car hesitates, then stalls. When I restart it, it will limp along for a few miles, then it will run as if nothing was wrong. This is happening more and more and it's driving me nuts! Can anyone tell me what's wrong?
