front brake not releasing - 760 740-760 1987

I'm having continuing problems with the brakes on my 760 wagon (1987).

The left front brake is "on" somewhat continually. I have cleaned everything up and the pistons are not seized. It seems fairly easy to push them in. The upper and lower pins/slides are free to move. The pads are wearing evenly but very quickly!

On older Volvos the flexible lines would sometimes collapse internally, is this a possibility?
