Re: Water Leak on Pass Side 240-260 `86

ICQ>

Nick ---

Do you think it's rain, or is it from the AC?

If it's rain, I've heard of problems with the putty sealing the w/w shaft assembly bolted into the cowl/firewall. (I have not yet faced this one.)

If it's AC condensate, there are several sources of dripping and leaking that are easily fixed.

It could also be a badly-sealed windshield gasket (actually, it's a black rubbery acrylic gooey junk that gets all over everything).

I once solved a vexing oil leak (non-Volvo) by cleaning the area and spraying it with underarm deodorant powder spray. The next time I looked, there was a nice track in the white talc back to the leak. Smelled good, too. But may be too messy to use inside the car.
