Re: Turbo+ Kit 740-760 1987

ICQ>

Under the hood, mounted onto the front side of the air filter box, is the

normal place for the control valve for the Turbo+ system.

To this valve three hoses are connected.

One is pressured with air running after the compressor part of the turbo.

One is the control hose running to the wastegate control valve

situated underneath the compressor part of the turbo.

The third is a bleed hose which is connected to the air filter box

leading off pressurized air into the air filter box instead of controlling the wastegate control valve when you floor it above 4000rpm.

One way to check it is to reconnect the hose with the pressurized air

directly to the wastgate control valve.

Do this and youīll have a normal Turbo. Run the car and check itīs

performance.

Then go back to the Turbo + setup and compare.

The difference shold be quite easy to detect....

If you have a problem with the + system, check:

- The switch underneath the gas pedal sensing "full throttle".

- The fuse (somewhere in the harness leading to the small electronic

box connected to the control valve) furnishing the + system with 12V.

- That the electronic box really tries to operate the control valve.

Well, thatīs all I know about it. Someone else might have a clue.
