My '83 had an orange colored relay which was acting up so after an hour in the junkyard I found a 240 with a white relay which I thought would work. For five bucks I thought, what the heck! After pluging it in, it did indeed work but the OD OFF light was illuminating the opposite of what it should have. I.E. when OD was funtional the light was on and when OD was switched off the light was off! What years had which relays? Do other models (Volvo or other make) have the same relay? What about just bridging the connector so you always have OD, after all, how many times a year do you actually shut it off? I'll try some solder work on the old relay but is there an aftermarket relay at a reasonable price?
