Alloys 760 GLE series 1 vs 240 Turbo 700 1987

Hi

I need some advice. Is it better for me to get a set of original 760 GLE spoke alloys or a set of 240 turbo alloys?. I have heard that the 240 turbo alloys are rather soft and buckle relatively easiliy as opposed to the 760 GLE alloys. Is this true?
