What goop should I use to stop this oil leak? B20

ICQ>

I finally realized that my biggest leak on my B20 is not my front seal, as I had assumed. I have a leak where the oil temp gauge (electrical) and oil pressure gauge (direct read) connect to the block. This is a pain because the oil leaks out under pressure, is blown back onto the oil filter, where it can drip down onto the exhaust pipe, which then puts out a periodic puff of smoke and stink. Its a constant problem that only looses a half a quart in 500 miles.

I think that it is the electrical sensor that is leaking. When I backed it out, there was the remains of teflon tape, which clearly didn't hold up to the heat and oil. What should I use to seal this up. Will the blue "form-a-gasket" type of silicon work? Will I need to clean the threads of all oil before using silicon?

I cleaned off the front seal when seaching for the leak and it appears that it does not leak! Is there a special class in the Volvo vintage car shows for B20s with original front seals that don't leak? Should be worth a few points. Thanks for any help.
