Be sure the wiper motor is properly grounded. My daughter's '86 245 had verrryyyy sloooooww wipers -- I found the ground strap that goes around the rubber insulating mounts had corroded away. When I replaced it, it still had sloooooww wipers... until I cleaned the corrosion from under the mounting bolt on the firewall.

Now they're FAST!
