Re: Classic Volvo Sweden 122 1968

ICQ>

Let me first say, I was under the assumption that volvo no longer supplied parts for old volvos like my 57 444. I automatically called a "sweedish" place back east, and got dried up unusable cork v/c gaskets. If you are familiar w/east coast dialect, cork is what I got. In despiration, I called Marty at my local volvo dlrship and asked if he had (or could get ) B14 v/c gskts. 10 minutes later, he called to say "they've gottum in new jersey, how many you want?" I'll take 5. These gaskets came in a typical volvo blue and white box and were as good as the day the 444's were new. They don't stock all the stuff that the east coast guys do, but what they do supply is better. Volvo is going to start supplying more stuff for the oldies, and when they do, the days of the golden rule will be over. Those days are "whoever has the gold, makes all the rules". Marcos got his. I'm sure my money would've been refunded, but shipping would've made princible costly for me. Strike one.
