Is Mom Hallucinating? 740T 740-760 90

Mom took the 740T about 1.5 miles to the store. Upon her return she said the car stalled when pulling out of the lot, then twice more over the next mile. Said that on one of the stalls she noticed black smoke wafting forward (but didn't know if it was her car or not). I checked the oil and added a quart (synthetic), then took the car out for an extended drive. Drove it very hard and also soft, but could not get a repeat performance. The car has 130k. I don't think the Turbo's ever been replaced, but it runs perfectly and we converted to synthetic about 6 months ago. Drove it again, but it still didn't stall. I can't imagine that adding a quart of oil would have fixed the problem.

Help..What could this signal? Thanks in advance.
