Ok, so i've gotten my cooling system up to par finally: new three core all metal radiator, new water pump, new fa clutch, and new 180 degree thermostat. My 245tic does just fine with a/c running full blast around down and on the flat highways in 110 degrees, but as soon as the turbo gauge shows that i'm in boost, it warms up really quickly. What fun is driving if i can't use boost? Not using boost means i can't really climb hills that well, and i can't live without that. i love my mountains.
So, what to do as far as cooling goes here in 110 degrees? I remember seeing some bricks with cut outs in the hood above the turbo to let out a lot of heat...sounds like a good idea to me! Has anyone done it? Where can i buy the vents? Or should i use some sort of sprayers for the radiator and intercooler? Any suggestions on what and how are definitely welcome!
