Replacing Vacuum Servos in ACC-Equipped 700/900 Work for a 780? 700 1989

The "Replacing Vacuum Servos in ACC-Equipped 700/900" article with pictures in the FAQ by Dick Riess is excellent. Will it work for a 1989 780? I just got my gold 780 from the dealer. They gave me a 10 hour estimate to change the servo and stated that the dash would have to be taken out. $750. I have taken the car to a Volvo shop and am asking them to do this procedure. They are a little reluctant because they don't have any 780 manuals. That is why I need to know if this procedure will work for a 780? Thanks.
