Adjusting brake light sensitivity 120-130

Hello,

I have a 66 122 and it seems like I really have to mash the brakes before the brake lights come on. Is there a way to adjust this? Would screwing the 'snout' of the switch further in, by removing a washer or something, increase the pressure in the lines? Just wondering.
