Hey, Brickboarders,
My windshield wiper motor was dragging and grinding. Removed it, found one of the motor's permanent magnets had come loose from the casing. Cleaned it, epoxied it, motor works fine. Being a mechanic,(construction equipment) I cleaned and lubed every part when I reassembled it. When it is turned on it is great, smooth, quiet. When it is turned off it keeps running, smooth, quiet. It will only turn off when it is given a little resistance, by hand or dry windshield. It turns off at the right location after finishing a cycle, but it does not always turn off. What do I do, unlubricate it?(delubricate?).
