FYI: I found this site very useful. My 1989 B230F would either idle at 600 rpm (rough) or would surge to 4000 rpm and stay there until in desperation I would yank of the air inlet hose leading to the Idle Air COntrol (IAC) valve. Sensible, I replaced the fuel injection temperature sensor with no change for a mere $75. I suspected the IAC valve only after doing some reading on this site and after I learned that I could disconnect the electrical connector to the IAC when the idle was stuck between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm and the idle would drop to about 700 rpm. A new IAC fixed the problem completely.
