A/C Fast Idle Switch 200 1985

Recently my 240 has stalled or nearly stalled occasionally when I turn the A/C on. To me this sounds like the A/C fast Idle switch isn't kicking in. I can turn the A/C back off and then on and it works fine. Any Ideas. Thanks much
