Has anybody removed their A.C. ??? 200 84

I have AC in my 84 turbo sedan, it does not work and I would like to remove it. I bought a power steering pump bracket for a non AC volvo so I can mount my power steering pump bracket where my AC currently is. Has anyone done this before? Is it terribly difficult? Thank for your help.
