sadly, my 88 240 volvo is getting to be on the troublesome side, everything is rigged and i dont have the money to have anything to do with it... for ABOUT what i can sell it for, ive got a deal worked out putting me in a '00 ford ranger... a little more dependability for college... longevity? who gives a... yeah... but for the next few years ill get by, after maintaining this hunk of swedish steel, keeping a new car in line will be pie...
(when i get out of college, money SHOULD be better)
i feel bad, like evacuating the volvo, i wanted to keep it to restore, impossible now... here is my question however!
In years to come =
Should i get a 245 wagon to restore properly, no more rigging... always been a dream of mine... i like the look of the wagons better, as well as the impressive cargo space, and a sound system more easily penetrates the cabin than the 244 with its sheet metal sealed off trunk... but im concerned with the rear seat brackets, they are metal no doubt, and rust, and thats no good for a restoration, are clean replacements easily available? do they usually stay rust free? do the wagons pose any new problems a 244 doesnt content with? other than the wiring harness which ive heard horror stories about!
Thanks for your help guys :)
