Over the past year, I have received help from all of you here on the BB and for that I am truly thankful. I have to make a decision on whether to sell my 90 740 GLE, 156K, 16V B234F, M72 trans, lots of work done, valve job, balance shaft pulley replacement, belts, oil pump drive pulley bolt replaced, camshaft carrier resealed, new calipers, rotors all 4 wheels. I love the car, however, I can't seem to bring myself to trust the engine. It let us down in a big way due to the interference valves and the failure of the oil pump drive pulley bolt. The valve job was 900.00 and my labor. We plan to use the wagon a lot for towing a light pop-up camper plus gear. What can I expect from this engine? If it fails again can I replace it with a B230?
Thanks,
Mark
