hi-
when the weather is hot my car starts for about 1 second and then dies. when i try to start it again it will crank but it won't start again. the battery is fully charged and my spark splugs were replaced a week ago. the only thing i can do is wait till the temperature is colder and then my car starts just fine. in my car's current state i can only drive it round at night or early morning because i am scared it won't start in the heat.
recently i took my car to a mechanic and he said the problem was with the computer. i saw the part he was going to put in next to my car, it was called a "bosch _____ controller"..his charge for the computer was $875 and with labor the total came to a little more than $1000... i was wondering if this is a fair price for this work??? i read at www.sewedishbricks.net that the problem could possibly be with the "Hall sensor" so i don't even know is this mechanic's diagnosis was correct. please e-mail me any responses, thanks!!!!!!!
