I wasn't going to share this, but what heck - We're all family here. I did this a couple weeks ago. (I'm finally ready to talk about it.)
When connecting a drain hose for transmision flushing, you can either connect it to the cooler nipple or the coolant line, DEPENDING ON WHICH INLET/OUTLET YOU SELECT.
In my case, I chose to connect it to the coolant line.....
Question of the day: How much transmission fluid will spray out of the cooler, all over the engine compartment and down the driveway in about 12 seconds running time? If you answered "at least 1/2 quart, but it seems like 3 gallons", you're absolutely right.
Lesson learned: Don't speed-read the 700/900 FAQ's before starting a job.
