No Spark---Where's the Power Stage located? 700 1986

My daughter's 740 GLE quit on her the other night. It started, then died, and now will not start. Checked for spark and there is none. I wanted to check the power stage for voltages, bad wires or connections, but where is it located? Was under the hood today and I never did see it.
