Hey Guys/Gals...
I have the sad news to announce that I'm selling my baby, the 1986 744 Turbo Intercooler. She runs just about perfect, new turbo (watercooled Garret T3) (7,000 miles ago), new radiator (copper, no stupid end tanks that will pop off), new tires (getting them put on this week), and she's had synthetic oil since after her first oil change. She's metallic blue with an excellent black leather interior....everything works, but the sunroof, it tilts, but will not retract. She has new engine mounts, and a new tranny mount and tailshaft bushing. The exhaust system is new, slightly modded with only the rear-most muffler (brand new Volvo muffler) and a tasteful exhaust tip. The Turbo wheels have no scuffs or scratches, but as usual, the enamel Volvo painted them with 15 years ago is showing some age (but its not noticeable unless you really look hard). We're also throwing a new stereo in there, the old Volvo one just doesn't cut it. Absolutely no rust, all power windows work (some a little slow), and all accessories work. Fog lamps as well. She just received a new calibrated boost gauge which was mounted where the stock one was....yes, I am a genius...I know, I know. :) The beast has 208,000....little if no leaks, and burns nothing but 92 octane Chevron. She gets an amazing 22mpg in town, and about 25 or so on the freeway.
Why am I selling it? We have three Volvos, too much transportation, and I want a motorcycle (that will make two bikes). We have the 245 for hauling stuff, and the 944Ti for nice relaxing (spirited) trips....
