Need help. Best Used Volvo Model $1000-$1300?? ALL

Hi all.

I am a Volvo novice looking to purchase my first Volvo. A sedan. I would like to spend between $1000 and $1300.

I am coming across many 1981 & 1982 240DL's. I am wondering if there is a consensus about what models or years are better than others. Is there anything I should look for or avoid?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
