Side Turn Signal Indicators 700 1988

I picked up some side turn signal indicators from the salvage yard to install in the fenders of my '88 760. I did this before in my 240 and only had to pull down the inner fender. I look over the 760 and can't figure out how to get inside the fender for running wires short of removing the fender. Anybody have tips on how to do this?
