Valve cover leaking oil 200 1986

I have a question regarding a leak I have in my 1986 240GL Volvo valve cover. The leak is coming from the rear of the valve cover near the base board. I can't get to it, but I can reach my hand into a valve and feels like within the valve there is a leak where oil is spitting out. If you have any idea what I'm talking about please help me can't afford another huge bill. Thanks a Raider fan
