I'm about to do the "heat shield surgery" and advice?? 200 89

Hi guys!! before crossing Canada this summer, I put some screws between my exhaust pipe and its ratteling, so rusted and broke heat shields.

But after 10 000 kms (my car didn't fail during the whole trip) I heard this big noise coming from under the car, saying that my heat shields are loose again. So, you, shield surgery experts, how do you do to remove those (useless?) metal parts?
