740 fuel gauge problems 700 1990

does anyone out there have any data for testing the fuel guage on a 1990

740 it appears to be a VDO instrument cluster and has the later tubular tank sender unit which seems to give a smoothly varying resistance when operated but I need some figures to check out the guage

any information greatly appreciated Colin Shepherd
