bricksters,

i was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the following sympton is normal for a 245 3 speed auto.

step on the gas, wait a moment or two before the engine decides to take action! i've obviously become accustomed to it because a friend just drove my car and said the car felt like it didn't want to move. after the engine has realised the throttle has been pressed everything's fine..she runs like a dream...

any ideas???
