Oil coming out of filler cap 700 89

I have an 89 760ti. Heavily modified, but it has always had a problem with oil coming out the filler cap and soaking the valve cover down and then burning as it leaks down onto the exhaust manifold. I rebuilt the engine (not for this reason, burned oil real bad) and it still does it. It typically is bad on long drives to and from school at high rpms. I have seen the t-bricks folks use the older style filler cap for some reason, does the newer style cap leak oil easily? Should I switch and find out? I am pretty sure it isn't blowby as the engine is brand new and the PCV system works fine (brand new too). Any other ideas?

Jeff
