The glovebox on my 90, 240 sedan was neglected by the former owner. It is crudy and there is some small rust spots. The material on the plastic base appears to be made from a felt type material. Just wondering what is safe to use on this felt like material for a good general or deep cleaning if necessary? Simple Green? Regular laundry detergent?
Re: the rust, I was planning on using white vinegar for removing the rust, after the good general cleaning. Always worked for me on metal parts. Also saw some liquid based rust removers at the local hardware store. Are they safe?
