Hey guys. Man I have some fun yesterday. As I mention in almost evey post, I'm gutting a GT's interior for my turbo. Any-hoo, my main fuel pump's been whirring an whining and vibrating for some time now and have assumed a dead in-tank pump. So, I decide, "what the hay, I'll pull the ITFP out of the GT- just for practice. If it's hard to do, then I'll know to get a brand new pump for the turbo, and if it's easy, maybe I'll swap it in". Well, it was easy to I decide to pull the ITFP from the turbo. Pull fuel pump fuse, start car, wait for it to stall to relieve fule pressure-- DOESN'T STALL!!!! It turns out that even if I just turn the ignition to 'on' the main pump will run untill the battery dies, even with no fuse! My fuel pump is invincible. It has evolved to the state of being able to run w/o fuse. But seroiusly, I'm guessing I must have a short somewhere right? Also, there were three hoses connected to the GT pump (receive, send, and return I guess) But on the turbo the return is just capped. Is this normal? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
