what is the gold colored plating used on the metal under hood components? 200 1979

Such as the radiator brackets, hose clamps, brake booster on all other steel brackets, bolts and such. I need to know because I am doing a restoration on my car and it is mostly all gray now, I want to re-plate

everything but I need to know what it is called first. Also does anyone know where this can be done or if it can be done or if it could be done by yourself? any info would be greatly appreaciated!
