I have a 1989 740 Turbo Wagon.
I noticed a few whiffs of smoke coming from beneath the hood, so I look to find the breather hose (from the flame trap to the intake) disconnected and dripping oil.
I think that Turbo's don't have a flame trap per-se like regular motors, but more of a crankcase breather that has the same function, I could be wrong here.
Anyway, I observed a steady drip of oil coming out of that pipe and a bit of smoke too. How much blow-by is normal for a turbo car? My car burns oil at about 1 quart per 750 miles and I am wondering if this is excessive crankcase pressure due to bad rings or something.
